The old Double Barrel Cafe, previously located on the west side of town, has been reincarnated and will open up again as the Double Barrel Coffee House Cafe.

The cafe is located at 1500 9th Avenue South, which was previously the Pickle Barrel and has been vacant for the past seven years.

New owners Nathaniel and Reba Cunningham were introduced to the former manager and chef of the old Double Barrel Cafe at their church. There were able to get the rights to the name as well as hire him back as their new chef.

They will serve items such as cinnamon rolls, pancakes, French toast, homemade biscuits, hamburgers, and a variety of sandwiches. They will also have homemade pies and a full coffee bar, serving Black Rifle Coffee.

Nathaniel said, “We’re going to be doing a lot of the old Double Barrel favorites with our own twist.” He added one example of this will be the Montana Beef sandwich.

The upstairs will be the sit-down area with tables and chairs and the downstairs will have more comfortable chairs and coffee tables to hangout.

The Cunninghams are originally from Kansas, but lived in Great Falls when Nathaniel was assigned to Malstrom Air Force Base.

They have now moved back and with the help of their two partners who are Great Falls natives, plan to open the Double Barrel Cafe on November 12.

They will be open Monday through Saturday 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM and will be closed on Sundays.
