Black Bear Diner plans to open in Great Falls soon, and is now hiring for several positions.

They have started work on remodeling the former Moonshine Grill (aka Shoot The Moon), which closed several years ago. They hope to be open by the end of the year.

Black Bear Diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and says that the most popular menu item is chicken fried steak.

Among the jobs posted to Indeed.com for Black Bear Diner are Server, Front of the House Team Member, and Dish Machine Operator.

The company website says that every diner features custom artwork from the inside out, and notes that the bear carvings reflect the local flavor of each diner. You’ll find bears as skiers, fighter pilots, grape-stompers and more.

Before it became the Moonshine Grill, the building was the Macaroni Grill. Macaroni Grill opened in 2008, and the owners switched it to the Moonshine Grill in late 2012. Moonshine Grill and On The Border closed in late 2015.

Harbor Freight will soon open a store in Great Falls. It is primarily a hardware and tool/equipment store with about 900 locations across the country. Its website says: “From hand tools and generators, to air and power tools, from shop equipment to automotive tools, Harbor Freight offers more than 7,000 tools and accessories.:

Craig Raymond, the city planning director, confirmed last month that Harbor Freight will open in the large building that until recently was Herbergers department store adjoining Holiday Village Mall.
