You might notice some unusual activity on the Missouri River on the southeast side of Great Falls in the coming days.
The City of Great Falls has contracted with TD&H Engineering to design water main crossings under the Missouri River and Sun River.
They say bore logs are needed to determine soil and rock types, as well as their depth, both on land and in the river channels.
A barge has been assembled to transport a crane and drill rig.
Activity will be seen on the Missouri River adjacent to Park Island and Meadowlark Country Club, and on the Sun River adjacent to the 7th Street Southwest bridge.
