The 60th annual AAUW Book Sale kicked off on Wednesday in Great Falls with a pre-sale.

The AAUW (American Association of University Women) is an organization that aims to provide the opportunity for women to get college degrees and to get equal pay for equal work.

All books that are sold have been donated from the community throughout the summer.

All proceeds go to fund scholarships for women, grants to libraries, and a grant for the HANDS Program, which is a before and after-school program.

“We have tons of really great reads, very good prices on everything, and outside of a rummage sale or a library, it’s the cheapest read in town,” said Lynn Allison, the AAUW Book Sale co-chair.

The sale is held on the third floor of the Great Falls Public Library.

There will be regular sale days, half-price sale days, and a “sack sale” day. During the sack sale day, it is $6 for a box of books and $4 for a bag of books.

Regular sale days will be held:

Thursday, October 18: 12 PM – 7 PM

Friday, October 19: 11 AM – 5 PM

Saturday, October 20: 11 AM – 5 PM

Half-price sale days will be held:

Wednesday, October 24: 12 PM – 7 PM

Thursday, October 25: 12 PM – 7 PM

Friday, October 26: 12 PM – 5 PM

Sack sale day:

Saturday, October 27: 11 AM – 5 PM
