If you are interested in being the next leader of Great Falls Public Schools, you can now apply for the job.

The Montana School Board Association has posted an opening for the Great Falls Public Schools Superintendent.

The job listing notes: “Great Falls Public Schools is the 2nd largest school system in the state of Montana employing over 1900 individuals and educating over 10,000 students.”

The salary range for the job is listed as “$160,000 – $175,000 plus competitive benefits.”

In August, current Superintendent Tammy Lacey announced that she will be retiring at the end of the current school year.

Lacey is now in her sixth year of being the superintendent and she says there have been so many great moments over the years.

“Just some amazing achievements of our students. There have been so many opportunities to celebrate staff members and just our community as a whole. Of course in making sure our facilities are viable educational institutions for years to come. Lots of things to celebrate and more things to celebrate to come,” Lacey said.

Lacey’s last day with GFPS will be on June 30th.

The job posting says that they are looking for a dynamic superintendent with strong leadership, management, and communications skills.

Applicants must provide a resume and three reference letters.

They will have to answer questions for the board of trustees and submit a video presentation about why they would be good for the job.

The job posting closes on November 30th.
