Lace up your skates and grab your hockey sticks and pucks, because a new hockey store has come in Great Falls – 406 Hockey is at 809 9th Street South.
The store is equipped with a full inventory of hockey equipment, supplies, and accessories. They also offer skate sharpening.
For several years, owner Patrick Obrien has wanted to open up a store filled with hockey equipment in Great Falls, but was not sure if there was enough of a market.
But once the University of Providence announced they would be starting men and women’s hockey teams, he realized this was his opportunity.
Patrick says hockey is the most fun thing that he’s ever done.
He explained, “I’m not very good at it, but you don’t have to be, there’s a program for everybody up there. Hockey’s a wonderful thing, if you ever thought about doing it, you should definitely try.”
406 Hockey has been open for several weeks while simultaneously building their inventory. A fully-stocked grand opening is scheduled for Friday, October 19th.
