GREAT FALLS — Great Falls kids of all ages will get to relive their childhood as a toy store prepares to open its doors this weekend.

MTN News got a sneak peak of the newly remodeled “Let's Play Games & Toys” ahead of Saturday's grand opening.

The location, formerly known as Downtown Dice & Games, has expanded, rebranded, and is ready for business.

Downtown Dice & Games sells games and gaming supplies (dice, scale characters, etc), and there is also a library of games that you can play right there in the store, or check out (like a library). There is also an upstairs area where they host games gatherings and tournaments

But owners Lee and Nicole Weigand decided to add toys to the mix after Amazing Toys owner Dave Campbell retired last year and closed his store.

They knocked a hole in a wall and expanded their business into the area next door.

“Downtown's been missing a toy store because Dave had been there about 30 years,” he said. “So we just decided to see what we can do about opening a toy store over here. It's been some pretty hard work."

The National Retail Federation projects strong growth this holiday season, even after economists said tariffs on China would affect prices on popular items like clothing and toys.

The association predicts holiday shoppers will spend up to $730 billion between November and December.

Lee says they're hoping to fall in line with the national trend as Great Falls shoppers start to realize the toys are back downtown.

Their hours are Sundays and Mondays, Noon - 5pm; and Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10am - 10pm

It's located at 514 Central Avenue; click here to visit their website, or click here for their Facebook page.
