Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton has identified Logan Dallas Christopher as the man suspected of killing two women and injuring a man in Stevensville on Tuesday.
In a news release on Tuesday night, Holton said that the victims sustained "apparent gunshot injuries."
Christopher, 25 years old, was arrested in Missoula after leading law enforcement officers on a high-speed chase from Stevensville; he eventually crashed in Missoula and was arrested.
He is being held in the Ravalli County Detention Center on the following charges: deliberate homicide, criminal endangerment, assault with a weapon, and attempted deliberate homicide.
Sheriff Holton said detectives and investigators worked through the night and continued investigating on Wednesday to determine the facts and circumstances of the crimes.
Three search warrants have been served and the scene of the shooting is still secured as Investigators process the evidence and interview people.
Sheriff Holton has not yet released the names of the two women who died.

(MARCH 10, 2020) A man was arrested in Missoula in connection with a double homicide that happened in the Stevensville area at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton said in a news release that deputies responded to a 911 call with emergency medical personnel and found two women deceased due to apparent gunshot injuries. A man was also injured by gunfire prior to the suspect fleeing the scene. The male victim was taken to and is being treated at a hospital.
The suspect's vehicle description was broadcast by radio, and law enforcement from the Missoula County Sheriff's Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Missoula Police Department, and Ravalli County Sheriff's Office pursued the suspect until he crashed his vehicle in Missoula. The suspect was apprehended uninjured. The suspect's name has not yet been released.
The Ravalli County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the deaths as a domestic violence incident and there is evidence the suspect was under the influence of narcotics. Because the investigation is currently under investigation, the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the names of the victims until families of the victims can be notified.
The Sheriff's Office has not yet released the name of the suspect. However, a person named Logan Dallas Christopher is listed on the Ravalli County jail roster with pending charges of deliberate homicide, assault with a weapon, and criminal endangerment. According to the jail roster, Christopher was arrested on Tuesday.
