GREAT FALLS — Russell Robert Moddison has been charged in Great Falls after reportedly being found with meth, cocaine, and marijuana.
Court documents state that in September, Moddison was taken into custody on outstanding warrants. At that time, a U.S. Marshal involved in the arrest noticed that there was a black bag attached to the top of Moddison's motorcycle. After receiving permission from Moddison's parole officer, the U.S. Marshal searched the bag and found three baggies that each contained what appeared to be narcotics. A small digital scale was also found.
The drugs were weighed and sent to the state crime lab for analysis.
Court documents state that there was 2.7 grams of meth, 1.2 grams of cocaine, and 3.3 grams of marijuana.
In addition, officers found $2,280 dollars in Moddison's wallet, and detectives believe the large amount of money was proceeds from selling drugs.
Moddison has been charged with two felonies: criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, and use or possession of property subject to criminal forfeiture.
According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Moddison has convictions for sexual intercourse without consent in Cascade County, and forgery and criminal distribution of dangerous drugs in Yellowstone County.
