Giroux facing drug and child-endangerment charges

GREAT FALLS — Brent Christopher Giroux is facing several drug-related charges in Great Falls.

According to court documents, Giroux has been charged with the following felonies: criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, criminal child endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is also charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court documents allege that the drugs in question were meth, heroin, Suboxone, Hydrocodone, and Tramadol.

They further allege that Giroux "purposely, knowingly, or negligently" caused "substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury" to a child under the age of 14 by manufacturing or distributing dangerous drugs where a child is present.

The court documents state that Giroux caused or permitted a child "to inhale, be exposed to, have contact with, or ingest methamphetamine, or be exposed to or have contact with methamphetamine paraphernalia.
