John Crites’ sister denied access to files related to his death

The Montana Supreme Court denied a woman access to files related to the death of her brother as a part of a civil wrongful death suit.

John Crites’ body was discovered dismembered near MacDonald Pass in June of 2011. His death remains unsolved.

Last year, his sister Connie requested files from investigators, but Lewis and Clark County officials said releasing the files could jeopardize an ongoing investigation.

Montana Supreme Court Justices unanimously agreed and denied her request.

Connie told MTN News in 2017 that she was not going to give up until there was justice for her brother.
