Callen Joseph Bradford has been charged with one felony count of theft after deputies discovered evidence indicating he was using a vehicle that was reported stolen after a burglary.

Court documents state Bradford was arrested on a warrant on December 26.

A Cascade County Sheriff’s Office deputy checked the license plates on a vehicle next to the camper Bradford was located in and learned the vehicle had been reported stolen.

During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found pawn receipts belonging to Bradford indicating he had used the vehicle, according to court documents.

Court documents continue that the vehicle was taken from a residence on Wilson Butte Road during a burglary in which several items were stolen from the home with a value of over $1,500.

When the homeowner reported the burglary, most of the windows in the home had been left open, which caused the water pipes to freeze and burst.

Due to the time in between the burglary and the discovery of the burglary, the water inside the residence continued to run and caused several thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to the basement, according to court documents.

The burglary and related offenses remain under investigation.

Prosecutors have requested bond be set at $5,000 consecutive to any other bond. Bradford had been arrested for a warrant from Silver Bow County with bond set at $50,000.
