The Montana Highway Patrol is continuing to ask for the public’s help after arresting a person for drunk driving over the weekend.

Trooper Mike Jensen is asking for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the Frontage Road between Great Falls and Vaughn and then continued north to Dutton.

A witness reported seeing a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo with Glacier County license plates force at least eight or nine vehicles off the road to avoid being hit head on Sunday between 2:30 and 3 p.m.

Authorities did find and arrest the driver in northern Teton County for driving under the influence, but are now asking for any witnesses in the incident. The name of the driver has not yet been released.

Anyone with information is asked to contact MHP Trooper Mike Jensen at 406-660-1118.

Jensen added a serious accident was avoided thanks to the witness, who followed the impaired driver from Great Falls into Teton County.

The MHP posted this on Facebook on Thursday:
