Helena man faces three felony charges including sexual assault

(UPDATE, June 25, 2019) Prosecutors have filed paperwork to drop the charges against Craig Williams.

According to filing, dated June 6th, the motion is to dismiss the charges without prejudice.


(November 13, 2018) Craig Williams, 55, faces three felony charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman.

Court records state police officers were dispatched to a residence on Beechnut Street on September 5 to investigate a reported domestic disturbance.

In a follow-up interview, the victim told officers she had reported an earlier assault where Williams allegedly slammed her up against a wall and sexually assaulted her. The woman suffered a broken rib.

Williams has been charged with sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated assault, and strangulation.

His bond has been set at $50,000.
