Brandon Richard Troxell has been charged in Great Falls after he allegedly broke into a residence and stole several items, including two firearms, a video game console, and several fishing poles.

Police were called to the residence on the 400 block of 42nd Street North at about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Officers were able to look through a window and saw Troxell inside sitting in a chair and holding a Ruger semi auto pistol, according to court documents.

Police officers then knocked on the window and announced their presence, and ordered Troxell to come to the front door.

Court documents state that Troxell instead ran downstairs.

Officers continued calling for Troxell to come outside; eventually, he did so and was arrested.

Police then obtained a search warrant for Troxell’s residence, where they found the items that had been reported stolen.

Troxell has been charged with felony burglary, and a misdemeanor theft.

According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Troxell has a criminal conviction for burglary in Cascade County, and was on probation at time of the incident.
