GREAT FALLS — Fire crews were assessing the damage caused by a structure fire on the east side of Great Falls on Sunday afternoon.

The fire was reported near 46th Street South and Diana Drive. Great Falls Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Dave Van Son said no injuries were reported and the fire was put out quickly around 4 p.m. Sunday.

The cause of the fire was unknown, but a fire investigator was en route to the scene.

The fire was first reported at 2:57 p.m, and two engines and a tower responded. Four occupants were evacuated and the fire was contained to just one of four apartments in the building.

Van Son said crews were still assessing the damage caused by the fire, and he was uncertain whether the damage to the building was significant.

Responding agencies included the Great Falls Fire Rescue and the Great Falls Police Department, Van Son said.
