GREAT FALLS — Health officials added 224 new COVID-19 cases to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map on Saturday, July 25th. Gallatin County reported the most new cases with 46, followed by Big Horn County with 33 new cases.
Note: Numbers reported by the state each day occasionally differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic lag times in reporting data to the state. The data below is from the official Montana website on July 25:
- TOTAL CASES & RECOVERIES: There have now been 3,260 cumulative cases statewide, and 1,977 people have recovered from the virus.
- HOSPITALIZATIONS: There are currently 59 patients hospitalized. There have been 195 hospitalizations due to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
- ACTIVE CASES: The state reports there are currently 1,237 active COVID-19 cases in Montana.
- TESTING: The number of tests increased by 1,815 over the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new cumulative state-wide total of 151,015.
- DEATHS: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is now 46. The most recent death was reported in Glacier County, and the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council shared on Facebook: “The Blackfeet Tribe acknowledges the passing of a tribal member who contacted COVID-19 and had been hospitalized. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
CASCADE COUNTY: Cascade County reported 10 new cases on Saturday. There has been a cumulative total of 111 confirmed cases in Cascade County; of those, 42 have recovered, 67 are currently active, and two patients died. The City-County Health Department in Great Falls says that the new cases are attributed to community spread or have been found through contact tracing, and that as in previous cases, these individuals have been isolated and contact investigations are underway. KRTV confirmed on Friday that COVID-19 cases at Malmstrom Air Force Base are included in Cascade County totals; however, due to security concerns, military installations do not release base-specific numbers publicly.
