Hot to end the week

and last updated

It’s been yet another hot day, and that doesn’t look to change any time soon. Temperatures have already climbed into the 90s for many places Wednesday afternoon under sunny skies.

Our skies may not stay sunny forever though, as isolated storms will be possible into the evening. For this reason another Red Flag Warning is in effect until 9 PM for Southwest Montana.

Another round of isolated storms will be possible Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening, which will bring the potential for gusty winds.

These strong winds will bring us higher fire danger again Thursday. It’s going to be another hot day too, with highs in the 90s.

UPDATE: At 5:11 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Dutton, about 20 miles east of Choteau, moving east at 35 mph. Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
