It’s hot.

In fact, for most of us, it’s the hottest day of the year!

We’re not just tracking heat though, we’ve also got the chance for storms in the forecast this evening.

Some of those storms may be strong, and lightning sparking new wildfires is a big concern, especially given that Wednesday brings major fire weather concerns.

A Fire Weather Watch will be in effect from noon until 9 pm Wednesday.

A cold front moving through will bring strong winds, dry air, and won’t do much to cool us down, as highs will still be in the 80s and 90s.

Any fires that start will be able to spread quickly in these weather conditions.

Be extra vigilant, and avoid burning if possible.
