Another day, another severe weather threat

Posted

Our extremely active weather continues.

Parts of the state fall under an increased potential for severe weather for the third consecutive day.

Fortunately, the threat for severe weather Friday isn’t as bad as what we saw Thursday, mainly because the area of concern is much smaller, and not as densely populated.

The main area of concern runs from Judith Basin and Fergus County, through Phillips, Petroleum, Blaine, and Garfield County, and eventually into Valley County.

There, severe storms with large damaging hail, strong winds, and even an isolated tornado will be possible this afternoon and evening.

Those areas will once again have to be keeping a very close eye on the weather, and we will once again be tracking storms and providing updates.

Fortunately, we break this active pattern Saturday, when no severe weather is expected.
