Scattered showers expected this weekend with near average temperatures

Posted

A surface cold front is slowly moving into north-central Montana this evening.

Showers have developed along the Hi-line this afternoon.

Showers can bring some stronger wind gusts and possibly even a lightning strike or two.

Showers in this area will continue through this evening.

Clouds continue to increase tonight and the cold front will stall.

Light rain becomes possible north of the front on Saturday.

Southwest Montana remains mostly dry with mild conditions.

More rain and even snow will move in by Sunday night and early Monday morning.

Snow accumulations look to be in the higher elevations, at pass level and in the Rocky Mountain Front.
