Winds calm down tonight, near average temperatures on Monday

Pacific cold front continues to advance across the state today bringing gusty winds and scattered rain and snow showers.

Best chance in the lower elevations for showers look to be across southern and eastern Montana.

Windy conditions continue through the evening., with gusts generally as high as 45 mph.

With low relative humidities, fire concerns arise this afternoon through this evening.

A chance of a fire starting in north central Montana in dry, grassy areas.

Still a bit breezy on Monday with gusts around 20 mph, temperatures remain near average.

Next storm system moves in Tuesday through Wednesday which will bring in the chance for more precipitation.

By Thursday warmer and dryer conditions move in through Friday.
