Winds will remain strong through this evening, then gradually weakening overnight.

These strong winds have limited precipitation in the lower elevations.

However, once winds calm down tonight, precipitation will have a better chance of spreading across central and southwest Montana.

A slow-moving storm system will impact the state Monday through Wednesday bringing rain and snow to the higher elevations.

Highest amounts look to be on Tuesday.

Rain falling on top of snow pack will lead to significant runoff to streams, creeks and rivers.

Rises could lead to flooding.

We will keep you updated over the next few days.

Temperatures will hover near or below average this work week in the 40s and 50s.

Warmer temperatures expected in the northeast.
