Fortunately, the extremely strong winds we’d been dealing with are dying down.

Our focus now shifts from blowing snow to a round of fresh snow.

Snow has already fallen along parts of the Rocky Mountain Front and the Hi-Line, and snow will become more widespread Tuesday night.

The heaviest snow bands will develop Wednesday morning, and snow will begin to break apart Wednesday afternoon.

This next round of snow looks fairly light, with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation expected.

The morning commute on Wednesday could still be fairly slippery.

Temperatures will start out fairly mild, in the teens and 20s, but will remain below freezing in most spots.

Above freezing temperatures are expected once again by Thursday, snow this light snow won’t last long.
