It’s hard to argue that February 2019 wasn’t one of the worst on record.
Most of the area saw heavy snow and bitter cold that placed the month among the top five snowiest and coldest Februaries in recorded history.
The good news is the month is over.
The bad news is March is in more like a lion than a lamb.
Snow and gusty winds have made for very difficult travel this Friday.
Fortunately both of those will die down through the evening.
We now turn our attention to bitter cold that will settle in for the weekend.
Lows will be as cold as -30 Friday night, and highs will be below zero Saturday.
It’s going to be a good weekend to stay indoors if you can.
If you have to go out, try to limit time outdoors, and dress as warmly as possible.
