Snow has been falling since Sunday for much of the area, and shows no sign of letting up Monday evening.

In fact, snow bands will begin to strengthen and spread northward through the night.

Additional snowfall will range from as little as inch in extreme Northeastern Montana, to as much as half a foot near Helena.

Snow will begin to taper off Tuesday morning.

Given the potential for quite a bit more snow, and the fact that many roads are already covered in snow and ice, both the evening commute Monday and morning commute Tuesday will be difficult.

Expect to take it slow.

Several crashes have already been reported.

Away from snowfall, bitter cold is still in the forecast.

Temperatures will fall into the teens below zero Monday night, and most places will not be above zero Tuesday.
