Great Falls’ February currently at 5th snowiest on record and could be 2nd all-time coldest

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has updated us on some statistics on Saturday.

As of 5 PM Saturday evening (2/16/19) Great Falls is officially at 20.8 inches for February 2019.

This makes the snowfall since July 1, including so far in February, at 53.4 inches.

February 2019, with 20.8 inches is now so far the 5th snowiest February on record.

Last year in 2018, Great Falls tied for the snowfall record with 32.6 inches.

For February 2019 to move to the 4th snowiest February on record, Great Falls need to receive 1.6 more inches, to total to 22.4 inches.

It also has been very cold this February and Great Falls is on its way to finishing 2nd for all-time coldest February.

The average temperature in February 2019 so far has been -0.3 degrees.

We will likely stay 2nd given the expected colder air through the end of the month.
