We’ve been tracking snow for several days, and it’s finally heading our way.

Moisture from the pacific will interact with cold air pushing into the state, resulting in snow for Thursday and Friday.

Snow will begin Thursday morning in Southwest Montana, and push northeast through the day, reaching the Hi-Line and Northeast Montana by the later afternoon to early evening.

Additional snow is possible for the Hi-Line and Northeast Montana on Friday.

Overall, snow totals look fairly light, with totals ranging from 1 to 4 inches.

Heavier snow is expected in the mountains.

There is still some uncertainty with the total snowfall, as at least one major model brings in heavier snow to the Hi-Line.

Main impacts from this round of snow will be slippery roads, and difficult travel through passes.

Stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to check the weather and the forecast before heading out on Thursday.
