Calm Wednesday, then snow

The stubborn area of high pressure in control of our weather refuses to move.

This means mostly dry and calm conditions will persist into Wednesday.

It also means we’re still dealing with the effects of a strong inversion for parts of the state.

That inversion should weaken some Wednesday, but is not expected to completely disappear.

Highs Wednesday will be range from the lower to upper 20s.

By Thursday snow makes its way into the forecast.

Rounds of snow showers are expected Thursday, Friday, and into Saturday.

As of now, it looks like accumulations will be fairly light, between 1 to 4 inches over the course of three days.

Heavier snow is, as usual, expected in the mountains.
