Remaining mild and calm for the start of the week, cold front moves through Thursday

Posted

We are ending the weekend on a very similar note as Saturday with mild temperatures, little to no winds and plenty of sunshine.

With clear skies and light winds temperatures will drop into the single digits, teens and twenties once again due to radiational cooling.

Patchy fog is once again possible to form overnight through Monday morning in the valleys.

Although slightly cooler air moves in on Monday and Tuesday, many areas will still see temperatures reaching above normal.

Unsettled weather will begin to move in late Wednesday and Thursday with an upper level disturbance and a Canadian cold front.

Periods of snow is expected from late Wednesday night through Saturday.

Much cooler air moves in as well with the passing of the cold front on Thursday.

Expect winter weather advisories and watches to be issued for this snowfall event Thursday-Friday.

As we get closer the event, the STORMTracker weather team will put snowfall amounts on.
