Ground Hog Day needs to make room for some more holiday weather!
It will be another windy and warm day with a High Wind Warning in effect for parts of Central Montana and the Northern and Southern Rocky Mountain Front.
More snow is falling across the Rockies once again this morning but will move out by this afternoon.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for these areas until noon today.
Besides feeling like Ground Hog Day- it IS actually Winter Solstice!
This means it will be the shortest day of the year (not by much), but the sun will set later and later after today!
That means more sunshine/daylight is on the way!
On top of it being the Winter Solstice, it is also a full moon tomorrow morning (so best viewing time for fullest viewable moon will be tonight) AND the Ursid meteor shower.
The Ursid meteor shower will peak in a few days, but we could see as many as 10-20 meteors per hour!
Clouds increase as the night goes on, so it will be best to look up at the skies a little earlier rather than later.
Snow and calmer weather is on the way just in time for Christmas!
