Windy and snowy starting tonight

We are tracking cold conditions this morning.

A breeze is making morning commute temperatures across the Hi-Line and North Central Montana feel subzero.

Breezy conditions are expected to pick up this afternoon, and we will see 30-40 MPH gusts across the same areas.

The breeze picks up ahead of a disturbance and more snow showers are expected tonight into Saturday morning.

Concentrated areas of snow will most likely be across Kings Hill Pass up to Great Falls.

We have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Cascade, Judith Basin and Meagher Counties starting tonight at 8 PM through tomorrow night at 11 PM.

Snow totals could be upwards of 3 inches in lower elevations and even up to a foot in higher elevations like Kings Hill Pass.

Snow coupled with breezy conditions could make for reduced visibility at times as snow blows across highways and passes.

Smaller amounts of snow are expected in a separate Sunday afternoon round of snow showers.
