Some people took advantage of Sunday’s nice weather to better parts of Highway 89.
Members of the World Mission Society Church of God picked up garbage and other litter along a two-mile trek of the road between Great Falls and Belt.
The church adopted that part of the highway this year through a program by the Montana Department of Transportation.
The MDOT allows individuals, businesses, or organizations to adopt two-mile stretches of roads in order to help with traffic, environmental, and wildlife safety.
Sunday’s efforts were part of the church’s community outreach and services.
The church also plans food, blood, and sock drives for its volunteer work.
