Woman dies in rollover crash along I-90

(BILLINGS) A 57-year-old woman from Iowa died on Sunday west of Columbus in a rollover crash.

The crash was reported at 3:10 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 90 west near mile marker 406.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 2001 Chevrolet Venture began to go off the road to the left when the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to fishtail, collide with a guardrail, and roll three to five times.

The vehicle came to rest on its roof.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

An 80-year-old passenger, also from Fort Dodge, Iowa, was also hurt; the injuries to the passenger are not life-threatening.

Their names have not yet been released.
