Dan Thomas with Hobson Schools stopped by KRTV to talk about the upcoming Montana Bale Trail and What the Hay contest.
The contest takes place Sunday, September 9, with events taking place all weekend. The 22 mile Montana Bale Trail route will feature over 50 decorated bales and will be between Hobson to Windham going through Utica on Highway 239.
People’s Choice ballots will be handed out at the contest entrances in Hobson and Windham starting at 8:00 a.m. Live ballot voting ends at 5:00 p.m.
There is no cost but donations will benefit a number of groups and activities at Hobson Schools.
There will also be a number of local vendors stilling homemade items and food.
Organizers say they’re also looking for creative artists and businesses to decorate hay bales for the weekend. Bales and the land will be provided.
