8 grizzly bears caught on video between Choteau and Augusta

(GREAT FALLS) Grizzly bears are increasingly making their presence known along the Rocky Mountain Front, and some of them are making appearances on video.

Kelly Hodgskiss set up a camera recently on family property between Choteau and Augusta.

On Monday, she shared a video clip on Facebook showing eight grizzly bears traveling together. A couple of the bears seemed intrigued by the camera and gave it a good inspection.

Kelly wrote: "It took me a month to catch them in the day. I almost took it down last night but gave it one more try!"

Mike Madel, an FWP bear management specialist, says that people who enjoy the outdoors, including hunters, should always carry bear spray: “People should be cautious in dense riparian areas and carry bear spray,” Madel said.
