(BILLINGS) A West Virginia girl is missing, after she reportedly ran away from her foster family in Yellowstone National Park.
Lachaela “Shay” Putnick, 14 years old, had been in the custody of West Virginia Child Protective Services, but was temporarily placed with a foster family in Wyoming, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
On August 7, she left the family while on a trip to Yellowstone, and has not made contact with family or authorities since then.
According to the Sheriff’s department, Putnick has ties to Billings, as well as communities in Wyoming, Colorado, West Virginia, and Florida.
Putnick has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5’4" tall, and weighs approximately 130 pounds.
