Dunn charged with assaulting police officer

Brady Dalton Dunn has been charged assault on a peace officer (felony) and disorderly conduct (misdemeanor) in Great Falls.On Sunday, a police officer responded to a residence on 20th Street South for a report of a family disturbance; the caller said that Dunn was throwing items around the house and fighting with a family member. Dunn requested that he be taken to a medical facility for a voluntary mental health exam, but while there, he changed his mind and said he wanted to go back home.Once he got back to his residence, according to court documents, he began fighting with a family member in front of the police officer, and began beating on the wall and doors and yelling obscenities and threats at neighbors. Several neighbors were startled and hurried to clear the area.The officer tried to get Dunn to calm down; Dunn then climbed on a railing, and the officer tried to talk him into coming down.Dunn ignored the officer and began to climb into a window on the second floor of the building. The officer tried to grab Dunn’s ankle to prevent him from going into the upstairs apartment, as he did not know who lived in the apartment.As he was trying to escape from the officer, Dunn kicked the officer several times in the arm and shoulder.Prosecutors requested that bond for Dunn be set at $10,000.
