Cascade County residents now have more options when it comes to finding dental care.
The Community Health Care Center’s Dental Clinic recently moved into the Renaissance Square Building at 202 2nd Avenue South in Suite 203.
The previous location off of 4th Street South was shared with the City-County Health Department.
CHCC officials say the new location has been in the works for two and half years, and allows the clinic to double its patient capacity while tripling the clinic’s work space.
Previously, the clinic had three operatories; the new location now features six, along with a private operatory. The additional work space allows more room for patients and adds one full-time dentist and two part-time hygienists.
The clinic aims to serve clients who are living below the federal poverty line and is trying to eliminate barriers when it comes to accessing care.
Officials say since opening their walk-in dental clinic a year ago, they’ve seen an uptick in patients which led them to start thinking about the new space.
"It really kind of drove us to push a little bit harder to get the additional operatories and create the space, just because we know that there is such a demand for dental services in the community," said Trista Besich, CEO..
The relocation was funded by the CHCC and also adds emergency walk-in hours for patients in pain or dealing with swelling.
Those hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m.-10 a.m.
CHCC accepts all insurance providers. Payment in advance is not required and payment plans are also available.
