The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for western Cascade County and central Lewis and Clark County until 5 p.m.
According to the NWS, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the area. Around three inches of rain has already fallen.
Excessive rainfall over the Alice Creek burn scar may also result in debris flows, which consist of rock, mud, vegetation, and other loose materials.
Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible into Sunday morning.
A Flood Watch continues for portions of north-central Montana including Cascade, Fergus, Choteau, Teton, and Judith Basin counties as well as the southern Rocky Mountain Front.
