Although the cold weather canceled Showdown Montana’s annual pond skim event, it didn’t stop a crowd from gathering for the Mannequin Jump.
The Mannequin Jump is a way for ski patrons and staff to celebrate the end of the ski season.
The event involves building a mannequin and launching it from jumps on the ski slope. The anticipated event showcased 17 mannequins this year.
The final mannequin was filled with candy for kids who attended.
Showdown also hosted a drawing for a lifetime season pass. Amy Severson from Great Falls was the lucky winner out of almost 2,000 entries.
The ski area reported over a foot of new snow this week.
