Due to a technical outage impacting businesses across the world, the KRTV and KXLH morning news will not be airing on Friday, July 19, 2024.
CBS News reports that banks, airlines, television networks, and health systems around the world that rely on Microsoft 365 apps were hit by the widespread outages.
Thousands of flights and train services were canceled globally, including more than 1,000 in the U.S., and there were disruptions to many other public and retail services.
"The underlying cause has been fixed, however, residual impact is continuing to affect some Microsoft 365 apps and services. We're conducting additional mitigations to provide relief," Microsoft said in a statement posted on social media.
