Man arrested after allegedly trying to steal a car using a CO2 pistol

GREAT FALLS — Pedro Martine Robledo, 25, was arrested Friday on robbery charges after he attempted to steal a woman's vehicle in Great Falls.

The Great Falls Police Department says it happened at 7:50 p.m. at 1721 10th Avenue South.

A woman said the man, later identified as Robledo, pointed a gun at her and attempted to take her car which was unsuccessful.

Robledo was later found at the 900 block of 17th Street South about 10 minutes after the initial incident.

He was then taken into custody, and officers discovered the gun he had was a CO2 pistol.

Robledo is being held on $50,000 bond at the Cascade County Detention Center.



(1st Report, Friday, 9:40 p.m.) KRTV has received several reports of a large police presence in a Great Falls neighborhood.

The reports indicate that there are numerous police officers in the area in and around the Parkdale neighborhood and at or near Keith's Country Store and Burger King along 10th Avenue South.

Some people have reported what they believe sounded like gunshots, but we have not yet been able to confirm that any shots have been fired.
