Erik joined the KRTV StormTracker Weather team as a meteorologist in September 2021. Prior to coming here, Erik worked at WUTR in Utica, New York for about a year.
Erik is a New Jersey native with a life-long love for weather. His hometown of Denville, New Jersey was struck by a major flood due to Tropical Storm Irene back in 2011. This solidified his desire to become an on-air meteorologist as he was able to photograph pictures from the storm that were aired on his local station.
Erik received his bachelor's degree in meteorology along with a minor in communications in 2020 from the State University of New York at Oswego. During his time at Oswego, Erik had the opportunity to chase lake-effect snow and study under Oswego alumni, Al Roker. He has also interned at WIS-10 News in Columbia, South Carolina and Spectrum News in Syracuse, New York.
In Erik's free time, he loves to swim and explore new places. He is excited to venture out and experience all that Montana has to offer! You can connect with Erik on Facebook and Twitter at @erik_wx.
