Congratulations to country singer Brett Young and his wife, Taylor, who are expecting their second child!
The couple, who are parents to 15-month-old daughter Presley Elizabeth, told People that the baby is due this summer.
“We really wanted them to be close enough in age so they could have a lot of things in common and be best friends,” Young said. “Tay had her sister close in age growing up, so we both felt strongly we wanted Presley to have the same.”
“Tay is so close with her sister, and that’s something we always knew we wanted for Presley,” he added. “We feel very blessed!”
On Twitter, the “Lady” singer wrote that they are “beyond blessed by this growing little family!”

Brett told People that Taylor has been “a rockstar” during increased pregnancy sickness this time around.
“Unfortunately the morning sickness is real this time, which is unlike the first pregnancy. That being said, everyone is healthy and that’s all that matters,” he said. “Hopefully, being through the first trimester, she will start to get more comfortable.”
In November 2020, the couple shared photos from Presley’s first birthday party with People, and revealed how quickly their first year as parents had gone.
“When you’re in it every day, you forget sometimes how fast it goes,” they said at the time. “We have been floored, emotional and immeasurably blessed! 2020 was rough, but the time we’ve had with Presley has been incredible.”
“There are so many things I would have missed during this first year of our daughter’s life if I was gone working,” Young told People in a recent interview. “I got to be there when she said ‘Dada’ for the first time. There are more examples, but I think that says it all and sums it up for me. So special.”
Presley’s birthday celebration, held just outside Nashville, was a socially distanced affair.
“Since we wanted to be very sensitive to COVID, we thought it would be fitting to have an outdoor picnic party,” Taylor said, adding that the special set up meant “each family could spread out on their own individual picnic blankets (that they also get to take home with them) or picnic tables, as well as have their own individual picnic baskets of food.”
Congrats to the happy family!
