BACKCOUNTRY FILM FESTIVAL
Presented by Winter Wildlands Alliance, features 11 inspiring films and celebrates human-powered recreation and wild winters. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, 4201 Giant Springs Road, Great Falls. Doors open at 5:45 pm and films begin at 6:15. FIRST PEOPLES BUFFALO JUMP
On Saturday, February 22, First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park will host an event for participants to learn about pictographs and petroglyphs. The guided rock art hike begins at 10am and runs through noon. Call 406-866-2217 to reserve a spot; cost is $4 per person. First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park is 3.5 miles north of Ulm, just off Interstate 15 at Exit 270.
GIRL SCOUTS WORLD THINKING DAY
February 22nd, 2025 1PM to 3PM 4930 9th Ave S Girl Scout Office The Girl Scout Troops in Great Falls teach people about other countries that have Girl Scouts. They found out where the country in, what the girl's law and promise are; what the flag looks like and mean, what the do for fun, and what they eat. For more information, call 406-868-8633.
TWEEN/TEEN NIGHT
Our Teen Night is coming up on February 28th at The Great Falls Rec Center located at 801 2nd Ave N. This event will start at 5:45 pm and end at 10:30 pm! Students in grades 5th-12th are welcome to attend. The $5 entry fee for each student can be paid onsite at the time of arrival. We will have games in the gym, arcade games, lounge areas, and craft stations available. Students will be able to choose their activities and move freely from room to room or just hang out with friends. Concessions will also be available for purchase. FUNDRAISER FOR EVELYN
Evelyn, who just turned 6 years old is determined to live a normal life despite being diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy. She has a lively personality, but her daily life is a struggle to survive. Evelyn's condition has advanced to the point where she requires a heart transplant and is being closely monitored by the heart failure team at Seattle Children's Hospital. The regular hospital visits are taking a toll on Evelyn and her mother, affecting them physically, emotionally, and financially. To alleviate some of the financial burden, a benefit event will be held on Saturday, March 1st, from 5-9 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Great Falls (1501 9th St So), including a silent and live auction, 50/50 draw, and a taco bar. Hope Falls Vaulters Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser on Friday, March 7, 2025, 6 - 8:30 p.m., Exhibition Hall, MT Expo Park. ADULT DRIVER EDUCATION
The spring session of Adult Driver Education will begin on March 10, 2025. The class is for those 18 years and older and NOT enrolled in high school. Class will take place at Great Falls College, Rm G-122, and provides training for the Montana PERMIT instruction/preparation for taking the written portion of the Montana test to obtain a driver's license and DRIVING (behind the wheel) instruction to prepare for the driving portion of the Montana test to obtain a driver's license. Family Promise will host its annual SOC HOP on Saturday, May 3, at the Elks Lodge (500 First Avenue South, Great Falls) from 5pm to 10pm. BEAR PAW MARATHON
The 5th Annual Bear Paw Marathon will be held in Havre, Montana on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. Includes a Full & Half Marathon along with a 5K fun run/walk.
