GREAT FALLS — Dozens of Great Falls residents now have a little less work to do around their homes thanks to the Cascade County United Way.
The organization conducted its annual "Day Of Caring" event on Friday, with volunteers doing yard work at 40 homes.
The United Way partners with organizations including Meals On Wheels and Cascade County Aging Services to identify residents who need help.
"It's really rewarding to get outside and know that you're helping people, especially this year with COVID and, of course, the weather we've had in the last couple weeks,” said volunteer Don Serido. "Just getting outside, helping people, raking some leaves, helping them clean their yard. It feels like you're accomplishing something, you're helping the community.”
