GREAT FALLS — This week's One Class At A Time grant recipient will use her money to buy tools for students to use in class and at home.

Christine Hinkle has worked for the Great Falls Public School District for 15 years and is exploring her first role as a special education teacher this year.

As 'Resource Two" Special Education Teacher, Hinkle provides instructions in literacy, math and social-emotional behaviors.

The grant will purchase tools like books, manipulatives, and toys for students to use inside and out of the classroom.

Other materials include materials that are centered around conscious discipline, which increases social skills.

Printing costs and access to age-appropriate materials are key to practicing the program's communication concepts.

The One Class At A Time program is a partnership between KRTV and First Interstate Bank.
