Students at Sunnyside Elementary School are using brain games to learn more about math.
5th Grade Teacher Julie Delgado was able to purchase a variety of interactive STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) games for her class.
She said students enjoy playing the new single and multi-player games while learning in a non-threatening environment.
“There’s a lot of kids that have grown tremendously in the few hours that they’ve got to spend on the games and not only just the perseverance, but really cooperative learning has been huge.”
Students said they love the different challenges each game brings.
“It’s easier to figure out puzzles and it’s more fun,” said 5th Grade Student Aila Woot.
The grant also purchased a cart to hold the games.
