While many of us wake up to a fresh cup of coffee, high school biology students will now study how it’s made.
C.M. Russell High School biology teacher Tom Cubbage said his One Class At A Time grant will help purchase a coffee roaster to help his students study the biology and chemistry of coffee.
They will learn how coffee beans are grown, harvested, and brewed to produce coffee.
Cubbage said students need dependable equipment to study the process, which relies on temperature and time.
